Statement of EEO Policy

This EEO Public File Report is filed in compliance with Section 73.2080(c)(6) of the FCC’s 2002 EEO Rule. This Report has been prepared on behalf of the Station Employment Unit that is comprised of Station(s) KWKW 1330AM AND KFWB 980AM.

In addition to direct job vacancy announcements and hiring procedures, we complied with the initiative outlined in the 2002 EEO Rule Sec. 73.2080(c)(2) regarding supplemental recruitment activities. For this reporting period we participated in or conducted the following:

  Menu Option #14 Provision of training to management as to methods of ensuring Equal Employment opportunity and preventing discrimination.   Every month Lotus Los Angeles Corp. has its EEO meetings in order to train its supervisors constantly the importance of non-discrimination as it relates to hiring and in the workplace. KWKW and KFWB provide and share the best practices for providing equal employment opportunities.     Menu Option #14 – Provision of training to management as to methods of ensuring equal opportunity and preventing discrimination. The Lotus Communications Corp. Annual Managers’ meeting was held December 5 through Wednesday, December 7,2022 in Los Angeles. The corporate agenda was dedicated in part to our continuing effort to review and provide information and training to ensure equal opportunity and the prevention of discrimination. All station management personnel held individual meetings with the Chief Compliance Officer to review and discuss the on-going effort to provide equal opportunities for current and future job openings. All menu options were examined to determine their effectiveness and how to proceed and enhance the individual station Outreach program. The stations are encouraged to create Outreach campaigns that reach a diverse and significant portion of the community they serve. Although, the FCC is now permitting broadcasters to meet their obligation to widely disseminate information about their job openings solely through the use of online recruitment sources Lotus requires stations to constantly review our recruitment lists and inform those organizations who wish to be notified of job openings. Option #8: Provision of training to management as to methods of ensuring equal employment opportunity and preventing discrimination.  Yolanda Magana-Business Manager attended a Virtual  work shops on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 and Thursday, November 17, 2022 where Attorneys address significant labor law and Employment Law Updates, California Wage and Hour Labor laws and workplace employment law practices. seminars designed to learn and trained for better understanding of equal employment and employee and employer rights in the state of California.  Seminars are a growing opportunity for Business Managers. November 8, 2022 at 10am and Thursday, November 17, 2022 from 8a 4pm Yolanda Magana, Business ManagerWebminars conducted by WELU and Fisher Phillip law 
            
Option #8: Establishment of training programs designed to enable station personnel to acquire skills that could qualify them for higher level positions Weekly meetings hosted by Melissa Meyer Corporate Traffic Manager in which all Lotus Stations traffic Manager attend and are coached and trained on tricks and ways to better understand the traffic department roles.  Growing opportunity for traffic managers.  Aug 2022 to July 20233 monthly meetings held at 10am-11amEsmeralda Montiel, Traffic ManagerWebminar conducted by Melissa Meyer-Lotus Corporate Traffic Manager 
Option #9: Establishment of a mentoring program for station personnel  Jim Kalmenson and Yolanda Magana continued coaching and training -Sandra Salas  Sales Coordinator.  Training consists of Sr Administrative position growth and sales, includes sales presentations and Sales team work. Option #8: Establishment of training programs designed to enable station personnel to acquire skills that could qualify them for higher level positions  The Annual Business Manager’s meeting was held May 22, to May 24, 2023 in Los Angeles, CA. attendees:  All Lotus Management and Lotus Markets Business Manager.  Fields of study, Accounting, Business Lay, Finance, Personal Development, Auditing, Personnel/HR,,  Each session was conducted by key personnel in grouplive instructional delivery method in accordance with the standards of the national registry sponsors. In addition to live group meetings Lotus held their own roundtable discussion where all Business ManagersMay 22 – May 24, 2023Lotus Corp Management and all Lotus Markets Business Managers Media Financial and Jasmin Dorismond Chief Financial Officer 
had the opportunity to bring issues challenges in their own markets.
